Sugar Free Sweetheart Fashion Show

This event was hosted to benefit the Southeastern Diabetes Education Services, an organization thatprovides needed support for children diagnosed with diabetes by attending  Camp Seale Harris and Camp Sugar Falls. At these camps children as young as 5 years old with diabetes are having fun with recreational activities, learning all about  living with diabetes and  realizing that they were not alone in having this disease. This benefit will took place at the beautiful Wynfrey Hotel in the Windsor Ballroom from 11-1PM on February 2, 2013. The luncheon featured beautiful fashions from Saks Fifth Avenue.  The luncheon also recognized two outstanding individuals who have made a positive difference in the lives of children with diabetes.  Ava Mitchell, CRNP, has volunteered with the Medical Staff at Camp Seale Harris for many years and has been a vital part of caring for campers at Camp Sugar Falls. Dr. Mary Lauren Scott serves as volunteer Medical Director and Camp Physician for Camp Sugar Falls. Living with Type 1 diabetes herself, Dr. Scott is a wonderful role model and mentor to the campers.
